Produce inspired cuisine using fresh local ingredients and combine them in a unique way. This innovation leads to a large tapas size selection of appetizers, where sharing is the idea to allow each diner to sample a true firework of flavors.
Daily hand picked fresh local seafood , tender meats and creative desserts complete a menu packed with bold flavors.
Chef Harold Schwarz showcases his Globetrotter Cuisine inspired by his vast culinary experiences from working stints in Germany, France, Switzerland, California, Colorado and Hawaii as well as his extensive travels abroad. Tatonka’s unique space features an alfresco, gastronomic dining experience under a vine covered, flourishing courtyard or Native American canvas ceiling. The ambiance is enhanced with an open kitchen, allowing diners to relax and watch the chefs at work whilst indulging in handcrafted cocktails, chilled local brews or a global wine selection.
Tatonka seats a maximum of 50 diners, half indoors, half outdoors and can be separated for small private functions with custom designed menus.

Hidden Gem We've been coming to Phuket and Bang Tao Bay since the early 2000's but somehow had never made it to Tatonka until now. Nestled into a corner next to the Supper Club it's easily missed as it doesn't really standout. The service is outstanding and when travelling with a daughter who is coeliac it was refreshing to have staff able to clearly communicate what was and was not safe for her... Plus able to easily tweak and adjust items to help. It's not your normal menu with fantastic tapas share dishes to start, followed by some awesome mains and outstanding desserts. Hidden Gem A quick search on Google, a glance at the online menu, and scroll through a couple of recent reviews - the decision was made to dine here. And what a good decision it was...Tatonka is amazing! Nestled in the corner of a small shopping/dining street in Laguna, when entering the restaurant you are automatically taken on the Globetrotter journey the owners have created - bringing life inside the restaurant with live plants, decorative wall paintings provide a hint to distant locations, and tapestries hanging from the ceiling not only soften the atmosphere, but also add to the theme. There are even some travel secrets to find in the bathrooms. We were the first ones there as soon as it opened for dinner service, however as the night went on, the tables started to fill up. Keep that in mind if you plan a visit, as there are not too many tables available. The staff were all friendly and helpful, as well as very knowledgeable about the menu. All the dishes we chose were brilliant! I personally had the Blackened Chicken for main and Cocomo for dessert - the flavours were amazing and cooked to perfection. Would also recommend the Siam Chicken and Oriental Duck. Will definitely come back here again when we're next in Phuket. Highly recommended!![Tripadvisor]()

Incredible We had 2 wonderful meals at this restaurant following a recommendation from a friend. The Thai tapas selection to start is honestly some of the best food I’ve ever tasted, and then the fusion pizzas and pasta, and the blackened tuna blew our minds too. Our favourite still.... Have not been to Tatonka since Covid. Previously was a favourite for our family every Christmas 2005 - 2019. So wonderful to be back. Sunday night dinner It’s been years since we last visited but was definitely as I remembered it a strange fusion which somehow just works. We had the duck pancakes and bruschetta to start both delicious. Followed by the duck bocatini for me which was duck in a red curry sauce with pasta fabulous and my husband had the Louisiana pizza which he thoroughly enjoyed too all rounded off with ice cream with liquor poured over delicious! Amazing food, service, atmosphere.. Harold would be proud We are so terribly sad to hear the devastating news that Harold from Tatonka passed away a month ago in a tragic accident. Having frequented Tatonka for many years we were devastated to hear this news on arrival at the restaurant. We were so sad not to see him wave from behind the kitchen counter and give us a warm embrace as he always did, so upsetting. We felt we must write this review though and report back that his wonderful team are continuing his great work and delivering execution of dishes as he did with care and precision, which he would be so proud of and I’m sure he’s looking down smiling. If you are in Phuket and looking for a fantastic dining venue then please give the restaurant a try, and if you are a regular then please don’t hesitate to return as Yen his loving wife needs all the back up she can get right now, and the wonderful team want to keep the restaurant operating as it was before in his memory. Fabulous food, great atmosphere, superb service and attention to detail that’s what you get at Tatonka and we are pleased to say it’s still delivering all of these things and more. RIP Harold and let your memory live on with your legacy, you will not be forgotten.❤️

My wife and I loved eating at Tatonka. We did the chef’s choice on the tasting menu, a crazy Caesar, half an order of the duck pancakes and then finished with the Goatie (soooo good.
